Zen Massage Hong Kong ReviewApril 15, 2019
Zen Massage Hong Kong has recently opened their second branch, this time in the heart of central. The setting couldn’t be much more perfect, as the creators of Zen have utilized the existing beauty of the loft-style building to develop a spa that is both serene and luxurious.
Zen aims to “provide an experience that lets people escape from the stress of life in the city,” “One which people feel they’ve made the right decision and want to tell their friends about.” This can be seen in the attention to minute details: the individual sinks belonging to each foot massage chair, the fresh orchids and selection of the finest essential oils from which to choose.
“We opened Zen Massage to provide a place where busy people could truly escape the hustle and bustle of the city and rejuvenate themselves in body, mind and spirit, “To achieve this, we have tried to create an atmosphere that soothes the senses. We’ve used natural woods extensively, from the flooring and high ceilings to the hand-picked antique furniture. Our aim is that by the time you reach your treatment room, you’ve left the outside world far behind.”
This is becoming increasingly necessary in a city of accelerated pace and bright lights; a feeling of escape is created from the moment you step through the glass doors. Zen Massage offers high quality treatment at affordable prices and is one of the more reasonably priced spas that Hong Kong has to offer.
We recently took a trip to Zen Massage Hong Kong’s newest venture and enjoyed a couple of their signature treatments. For those suffering with more acute muscular problems, the 90 minute Zen Signature Massage, which is a deep tissue massage, is the perfect way to release tension after a busy day at the office. This massage covers every part of the body with a specific focus on high tension areas such as shoulders, back and neck. The massage therapist was incredibly skilled, targeting specific problem areas which, although painful, required special attention. This option is the more expensive of the massages on offer, at 898 HKD, but is still very much on the cheaper end of the price spectrum.
Zen Massage Hong Kong succeeds in its aim to create “something special, yet affordable, so it can be enjoyed widely and made a regular part of our patron’s lives.” This experience is certainly special and could actually become quite addictive. It is therefore a good thing that prices are affordable. Zen Massage is a definite go-to for those who appreciate a good pampering in a luxurious setting. To be fair, who doesn’t?
